Solid Stay with Great Amenities

thoughtful touchvaried selectionupdated features
The provided dog biscuits were a thoughtful touch. Breakfast included a varied selection, which I found very appealing. I also liked the updated features within the hotel. The hotel appears well kept.
The room I was assigned did not have a direct sea view. Instead, it faced another building.

the staff was excellent. the girl at reception ran things smoothly. the breakfast was amazing with attentive staff and freshly cooked food.. the continental offering was excellent also.
the room was older than expected. the bed was not great. fire doors are heavy and it was very noisy when people roamed in the morning. i waited ten minutes in an empty restaurant and a server still didn't come over, so we left and went outside.

the staff was friendly, i'll give them that.
the room felt dated (and not in a charming, vintage way). the bathroom had cracked tiles and mold and generally just felt a bit grimy. i definitely expected better for the price i paid.

greasy fishexcessive price
the food quality disappointed me. i ordered fish and chips and the fish tasted like it came from a frozen multipack. it was greasy and not what i expected at all. the waiting staff knew it was not good but that wasn't their fault, felt bad for them serving it. the price for the fish and frozen fries seemed excessive
